Solicitation Meetings Scheduled For First Tuesday Of Every Month!

Lodge Presidents in District 7 or a designee are invited to attend the solicitation meetings the first Tuesday of every month. We will discuss our progress and future efforts. Please make it a point to be there or send one of your lodge members! Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Meeting place will be Johnny's Fillin' Station, 2631 S. Ferncreek Ave., Orlando, FL 32806, (407) 894-6900. Dinner will be provided by District 7. Hope to see you there!

The FOP will be formally asking for the suspension of Melbourne Police Chief Donald Carey for multiple Departmental violations, violations of the City of Melbourne’s policies, and pending criminal allegations of Official Misconduct and Witness Tampering! Update 4/09/10 - The City of Melbourne has stripped its police Chief Donald Carey of his duties.  Steve Mimbs, a veteran command officer of the Melbourne Police Department, has been named as acting police chief.

Support the families of our fallen officers and firefighters!

The "True Hero" line includes 9 special-edition models of custom graphite and fiberglass rods, each of which reflects the unique personality of police and fire professionals throughout the U.S.
Retail price on these rods will range from $300 to $450, but Fetha Styx is offering the "Hero" series at a reduced cost ($150 to $205) to Firefighters and Police Officers only, and will donate $10 from the sale of every rod to non-profit organizations who assist the families of police and fire professionals killed in the line of duty.

Vests to the Rescue!

The Vest to the Rescue program is officially underway. This program is a joint venture with the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Florida State Lodge District 7, and the FOP Brevard County J.W. Dunn Lodge 37. The FOP is the premier law enforcement organization in the states.
Additionally, irreplaceable assistance and services are being rendered by Knightsbridge International.
The purpose of this program is to receive used police equipment, including bulletproof vests, and donate it to nominated Philippine National Police and Government entities at no cost.
